Today, we are announcing Citywide, a new solution for our government partners. Over the past few years, we have heard from city, county, regional, and state agencies that they would like the ability for multiple departments to host projects on one common platform. We have been piloting this new capability with Allegheny County over the past few months, and we are thrilled to announce it is now available to all of our government partners.

Citywide is designed for cities, counties, special districts, and regional commissions who want to administer multiple projects on one platform. It enables our partners to consolidate digital customer relationship management, streamline technology procurement, de-risk cybersecurity and privacy compliance, take advantage of centralized analytics, and leverage our extensive platform for all of their projects.

Our partners can now host an unlimited number of projects on a single website with a custom domain, control and automate email communications, set privacy and terms of service, and integrate with their CRM of choice. In addition, Citywide partners have access to all of the capabilities of the Neighborland platform which include:

  • Easily publish and manage project websites on a cloud-based, SEO optimized platform
  • Quickly publish text, images, video, documents, and events
  • Collect, curate, and publish stakeholder feedback (ideas, votes, comments) on maps and scenario renderings
  • Upload stakeholder feedback from workshops and events in public space
  • Provide a simple, easy-to-use discussion forum for residents
  • Publish single- and multiple-choice surveys, and collect stakeholder input
  • Map resident ideas, insights, and solutions to specific locations and categorize by topic
  • Moderate stakeholder engagement with project administration tools
  • Notify residents on project milestones with automated email notifications
  • Visually theme your Citywide landing page, and all individual projects
  • Collect insights with SMS, voice phone calls, and/or Twitter
  • Analyze project and participant data (including optional demographic data) with a real-time project dashboard, Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics integrations, and an automated sentiment analysis tool
  • Provide government and enterprise level security and reliability (99.99%+ uptime)
  • Provide consumer grade site performance (2 second or less page load times)
  • Enable residents to easily share feedback on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google)
  • Support the current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
  • Meet ADA and W3C requirements
  • Engage with residents in any language supported by Google Translate

Success stories

We have helped the City of San Francisco engage over 117,000 residents (14% of total population) on a variety of projects over the past few years.

The City of Mesa engaged over 67,000 participants (13% of total population) in their capital improvement planning process, Imagine Mesa. Voters approved over $300m in bonds in the November 2018 election as a direct outcome of this project.

Allegheny County Department of Human Services has engaged thousands of stakeholders across several projects, including their $900m annual budget.

Making it happen

We believe technology can help make city planning better for everyone involved, including urban planners, developers, and residents. It should be easy for residents to understand and provide feedback on future developments that will affect their lives. It should be easy for developers to publish their plans for public review, and communicate construction updates. And it should be easy for planners to collect and analyze public feedback, and help their elected officials make better decisions.

That’s why we’re here. We want to help you create places that reflect what is truly important to the communities where you serve.
