On Neighborland, citizens and civic-leaders share ideas for solving our common problems – problems derived from experiences in the places we share, our cities. Today, we’re proud to announce that Neighborland has partnered with the Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a coalition of mayors from over 750 American cities, towns and villages, to focus on one of our greatest common problems: gun violence.
Every day, thirty four Americans are killed with guns. Twenty of those shot dead every day are children and teens. Surely, we can do better than this. There is no excuse for inaction.
Every city is different, but we agree on this premise: gun violence in our communities is problem we must address.
Today we ask you to find your mayor on Neighborland, and help them Demand a Plan from Congress. Show your support by saying “Me too” and by helping spread the word to your friends and neighbors.
